Volleyball Recap: Western Reserve Blue Devils vs. Memorial Red Devils
Western Reserve lost against Memorial on September 3rd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Blue Devils fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 3-2. While the Blue Devils didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Red Devils 25-19 in the first set.
Western Reserve started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 19-25, 27-29, 25-22, 25-13, 15-9.
Chloeigh Endsley paced Western Reserve's offense, picking up 12 kills. Endsley got some help from Ava Baker and her 21 assists. Endsley and Baker didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.
This is the second loss in a row for Western Reserve and nudges their season record down to 8-9. As for Memorial, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-1.
