Basketball Recap: Kosciusko Skates Past Eupora with Ease

Kosciusko put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 79-46 win over the Eupora Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Whippets also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2019.

Kosciusko's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cory Guyton Jr, who went 9-for-18 en route to 23 points and seven rebounds. The contest was Guyton Jr's fifth in a row with at least 20 points. Another player making a difference was Josh Cole, who posted 13 points in addition to eight boards and five steals.

Kosciusko was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Kosciusko's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Eupora, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kosciusko will challenge Aberdeen at 11:45 a.m. on the 29th. As for Eupora, after both having extra time off, they and Calhoun City will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on December 2.
