Basketball Recap: Lee Comes Up Short

Lee lost against Beaumont United back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lee Ganders came up short against the Beaumont United Timberwolves, falling 55-29. The Ganders just can't catch a break and have now endured 11 losses in a row.

Beaumont United was led to victory by Ephriam Moore and Ashton Green. Moore went 7 for 10 en route to 17 points and seven rebounds, while Green went 8 of 14 on his way to 17 points and five boards. Green has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Treylon Tillman, who posted three points and six rebounds.

Lee's defeat dropped their record down to 4-26. As for Beaumont United, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.

Lee is taking a road trip to take on Sterling at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lee is facing Sterling at the right time seeing as Sterling is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Beaumont United, they will welcome Port Neches-Groves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Beaumont United is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.3 points per game this season.
