Volleyball Recap: Pagosa Springs Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Charity Domingo and Tatiana Monterroso + How To Watch

Pagosa Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Durango Demons. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Demons when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Pagosa Springs had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21, 25-19.

Despite the loss, Pagosa Springs had strong showings from Tatiana Monterroso, who had 12 digs, and Charity Domingo, who had ten digs. Amber Snarr also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

Pagosa Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Durango, their win bumped their record up to 5-12.

Pagosa Springs and Durango could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings. The Pirates will challenge Bayfield at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (215 vs. 36). Meanwhile, Durango (ranked 159th) will meet Fruita Monument (ranked 28th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
