Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson J-Hawks vs. Rockford Auburn Knights

The Jefferson J-Hawks will venture away from home to face off against the Rockford Auburn Knights at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Last Friday, Jefferson earned a 76-63 victory over Belvidere.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Rockford Auburn beat Harlem 71-66 on Friday. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 156th, while the Huskies are ranked 338th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Rockford Auburn and bumps their season record up to 14-11. As for Jefferson, their record is now 11-16.

Jefferson couldn't quite finish off Rockford Auburn in their previous meeting back in January and fell 86-84. Can Jefferson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
