Volleyball Recap: John Carroll Catholic Takes a Loss

John Carroll Catholic lost against Spanish Fort back in August of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cavaliers fell 2-0 to the Toros.

Spanish Fort's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cailyn Boykin led the charge by getting 24 assists. Boykin has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more assists the last 12 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Victoria Holley, who had nine digs and one assist.

John Carroll Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Spanish Fort, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-3.

Looking ahead, John Carroll Catholic is taking a road trip to challenge Montevallo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Spanish Fort, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Hartselle on the 6th.
