Baseball Recap: Carney Comes Up Short

Carney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Glencoe Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 10-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2015.

Carney's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Glencoe, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

Coincidentally, Carney and Glencoe will both be playing Coyle the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Bluejackets at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 5:00 p.m.
