Basketball Game Preview: Marion Warriors vs. Berean Academy Warriors

Marion is 0-10 against Berean Academy since January of 2019 but things could change on Monday. Marion will head out on the road to take on Berean Academy at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Marion didn't have too much trouble with Sedgwick as they won 37-20. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Cardinals are ranked 283rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Berean Academy took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 50-17 win over Trinity. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Celtics recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Berean Academy's record now sits at 12-6. As for Marion, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Marion might still be hurting after the 58-34 loss they got from Berean Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Marion avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
