Unionville is a perfect 7-0 against Sun Valley since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Longhorns will head out on the road to take on the Vanguards at 3:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Unionville has four straight victories, Sun Valley has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Unionville is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Morgantown, who was ranked second in their home state at the time (Unionville was ranked second). The Longhorns came out on top against the Mohigans by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Sun Valley came up short against Downingtown East on Monday, falling 3-0.

While Sun Valley was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-12, 25-10.

Sun Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Unionville, their win bumped their record up to 9-0-1.

Everything went Unionville's way against Sun Valley in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Unionville made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Longhorns since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
