Soccer Game Preview: Horizon vs. Hanks

The Horizon Scorpions will head out to square off against the Hanks Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hanks took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Horizon, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Horizon turned things around against Parkland on Saturday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Horizon who was credited with the victory. Horizon got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Parkland's three. The win was all the more spectacular given the Scorpions' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 391st, while the Matadors are ranked 76th).

Hanks is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Saturday. They lost 6-1 to Bel Air. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Knights were already down 3-0.

Hanks' loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Horizon, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5-1.
