The West Potomac Wolverines will head out on the road to face off against the Hayfield Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. West Potomac is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.

Hayfield will be up against a hot West Potomac team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Wolverines came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against Fairfax.

The team relied heavily on Sabrina Driggers, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Shea Studdiford was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Hayfield made easy work of Annandale on Friday and carried off a 9-2 victory.

West Potomac's record is now 3-4. As for Hayfield, their record now sits at 4-2.

West Potomac might still be hurting after the 17-6 loss they got from Hayfield when the teams last played back in May of 2021. Can the Wolverines avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
