Enterprise took an eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Shasta, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Hornets skirted past the Wolves 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hornets have posted against the Wolves since April 5, 2022.
Shelby Hopper spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on six hits.
On the hitting side, Carly Graham was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Mariah Moss also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Enterprise's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-9 and their overall record up to 4-17. As for Shasta, they dropped their record down to 5-15 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
