You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Ravenswood on Friday. They put the hurt on the Poca Dots with a sharp 72-51 win. That's more bragging rights for the Red Devils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Carson Varney went supernova, going 5-for-11 to rack up 19 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Gonzalo Garcia, who shot 63% from the field on his way to 11 points and seven boards.

When it comes to explaining why Poca lost, don't look at Austin Gillig. Despite the final result, he went 6-for-13 en route to 21 points. Jakob Potter was another key player, shooting 71% from the field to rack up 13 points and three steals.

The victory got Ravenswood back to even at 1-1. As for Poca, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
