Volleyball Recap: Cowan Takes a Loss

Cowan lost against Frankton back in August of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Blackhawks fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1.

Cowan started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-19, 15-11.

Savannah Hall paced Cowan's offense, picking up five kills. Hall got some help from Demi Abbott and her nine assists. Hall also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Mylie Williams, racking up three apiece.

Cowan's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Frankton, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cowan will challenge Muncie Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Frankton, they will welcome Daleville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
