Football Game Preview: McIntosh Demons vs. Marengo Panthers + How To Watch

McIntosh hasn't had much luck against Marengo recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Demons will head out to square off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Marengo took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on McIntosh, who comes in off a win.

Marengo will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: McIntosh extended their winning streak to three on Friday. Everything went the Demons' way against Millry as they made off with a 26-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Demons, who have now won three contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Brayden Dixon had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 194 yards and four touchdowns. 90 of those passing yards were hauled in by Joshua Harris, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

McIntosh didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Millry to a completion percentage of just 47.1%. The team can thank Jakari Braggs for the heroic effort on defense: he. McIntosh wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 68.4%.

McIntosh's defense didn't let Caden Welford, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. Leading the way was Alfred Weaver with two. McIntosh got some further help from Kevonte Diamond: he made 14 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Marengo played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 60-20 defeat at the hands of Leroy. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while the Bears are ranked 139th).

McIntosh's record is now 4-2. As for Marengo, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

McIntosh came out on top in a nail-biter against Marengo in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, sneaking past 8-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Demons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
