Football Recap: Lockport Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Lockport challenged Lewis J. Bennett/Olmsted/Middle Early College/East on Saturday. The Lions took a blow against the Tigers, falling 56-14. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.

Jimmy Valentine continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lewis J. Bennett/Olmsted/Middle Early College/East, rushing for 238 yards and three scores on only 11 carries. Those 238 rushing yards gave Valentine a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jack Eskridge, who gained 147 total yards and two touchdowns.

Lockport's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lewis J. Bennett/Olmsted/Middle Early College/East, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Coming up, Lockport will head out on the road to challenge West Seneca West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lewis J. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Legends have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
