Recap: Wheatley Wildcats vs. North Forest Bulldogs
The Wheatley Wildcats were the 63-40 winner over the North Forest Bulldogs when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Wheatley and North Forest were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but Wheatley suffered an agonizing 13-12 defeat. Wheatley's defeat continues a unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Jacorris Parrish threw for 103 yards and a touchdown. Kobre Dickerson was his top target, picking up 61 receiving yards.
Clinton Babineaux was his usual excellent self, throwing for 118 yards and a touchdown.
Wheatley has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for North Forest, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Wheatley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. North Forest will face off against Bay City at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bay City presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than North Forest in Texas (Bay City is ranked 239th, while North Forest is ranked 740th).
