Baseball Game Preview: Key West Conchs vs. Satellite Scorpions

For the second straight game, Key West will face off against Satellite. The Conchs will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Scorpions at 2:30 p.m. Key West is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Key West heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Monday. They came up short against Satellite, falling 8-2. The Conchs' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Jon Carlos Lampas-Gormley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Key West saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nelson Ong, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Satellite's win bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Key West, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-10.
