Basketball Recap: Pinnacle Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Connor Corey and Kareem Alkhalifa

Pinnacle was the 59-50 winner over Central when they last played one another back in November of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The Pinnacle Pioneers came up short against the Central Bobcats on Friday, falling 75-52. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Pinnacle had strong showings from Kareem Alkhalifa, who posted 13 points and five boards, and Connor Corey, who earned eight points and six rebounds. Corey also put up a steal, which washis first of the season. Ryan Nelson was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Pinnacle's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Central, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-2.

Pinnacle has already played their next contest, a 79-63 loss against Boulder Creek on the 20th. As for Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 70-42 win against North on the 24th.
