Softball Recap: Wylie Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Wylie's offense. They fell just short of the Boyd Yellowjackets by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Wylie has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season. The victory (which was Boyd's fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wylie will face off against Snyder at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. As for Boyd, they will venture away from home to take on Pilot Point at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Boyd is facing Pilot Point at the right time seeing as Pilot Point is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
