Garner waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs, sneaking past 49-46. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 134th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Garner's win bumped their record up to 23-3. As for Southeast Raleigh, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season.

Coming up, Garner will square off against Clayton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Garner is on a 21-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), Clayton a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Southeast Raleigh does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
