Cross County had won 14 straight games and Sawyer Anderson did his part to make it 15 on Friday. The Cross County Cougars walked away with a 56-49 win over the Centennial Broncos thanks in part to Anderson, who went 7-for-10 en route to 19 points and six assists. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 45.5% shooting accuracy.

Thatcher Hanson was another key player, putting up seven points and five boards. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in December of 2024.

Centennial's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Camden Winkelman, who went 5-for-11 on his way to 13 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Sam Ehlers, who had 13 points.

Cross County's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points over those games. As for Centennial, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cougars take on the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Cross County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine games. As for Centennial, they have already played their next contest, a 55-42 loss against Malcolm on the 15th.
