Lakewood had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Valley Forge Patriots. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 two weeks ago.

While Lakewood won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-20, 25-22.

Ariana Hueter paced Lakewood's offense, picking up 25 kills. Hueter got some help from Erin Boyer and her 25 assists. Hueter was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Lakewood's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Valley Forge, they dropped their record down to 4-16 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home.

Coming up, Lakewood will venture away from home to take on Hudson at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Valley Forge, they will take on Garfield at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday.
