Soccer Game Preview: Christian vs. High Tech SD

The Christian Patriots will venture away from home to challenge the High Tech SD Storm at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Christian will be strutting in after a win while High Tech SD will be coming in after a loss.

High Tech SD better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Christian really get things going. Christian put the hurt on Liberty Charter with a sharp 5-2 victory on Thursday. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 533rd, while the Lions are ranked 1118th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, High Tech SD was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to La Jolla. Considering the last time the Storm couldn't score was back in December of 2024, the team can't take the result too hard.

Christian's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four games. As for High Tech SD, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10-1.

Christian beat High Tech SD 3-1 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Will Christian repeat their success, or does High Tech SD have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
