Dighton skates past Ness City with ease

Recap: Dighton Hornets vs. Ness City Eagles

The Dighton Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 22 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 69-35 victory over Ness City on the road. Dighton's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

It was another big night for Carson Shimer, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was his seventh in a row with at least ten points. Daniel Cramer was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with nine rebounds and eight assists.

Dighton pushed their record up to 7-0 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Ness City, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Dighton and Quinter will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Quinter will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 89th, while Dighton is ranked ninth). As for Ness City, they will stay at home for another game and welcome St. John at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
