Metamora won the last time they faced Limestone and things went their way on Saturday too. The Metamora Redbirds blew past the Limestone Rockets 72-51. Given the Redbirds' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Rockets are ranked 209th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Metamora and bumps their season record up to 23-6. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 23 points. As for Limestone, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Metamora will venture away from home to face off against East Peoria at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Limestone, they are taking a road trip to square off against Normal University at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
