League recap: Santone dominating on the mound for Gloucester Catholic

Joe Santone was the best pitcher in the league this week. He won two games and struck out 16 batters.

John Brue was on fire this week, as he led the league with a .313 average, one home run and six RBIs. His Gloucester Catholic team went 3-2.

Gloucester County Tech's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only nine hits and one walks, both of which led the league. Gloucester County Tech's pitchers have been charged with only 99 hits and have struck out 88 batters. Jake Danner is tops on the staff with 32 Ks.

The Rams scored a league-best 37 runs this week, adding to their league-leading 196 runs on the season. Gloucester Catholic's key hitters include Pat Kane, who has a team-high 31 runs, and Brue, who leads the squad with with 31 RBIs.



The Rams' Kane finished his week with eight hits, tops in the league. He is fourth in the league with 24 hits this year, and has a .407 batting average.
