Cathedral was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Columbus East on Thursday. The Cathedral Fighting Irish were the clear victor by a 49-25 margin over the Columbus East Olympians. The Fighting Irish have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Cathedral can attribute much of their success to Tianna Guy, who posted ten points. Reaghan Gilmore was another key player, putting up seven points.

Cathedral is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Columbus East, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-21.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Cathedral will square off against Indianapolis Bishop Chatard at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
