Baseball Recap: Homer Takes a Loss

After flying high against Petersburg on Friday, Homer came back down to earth. The Mariners lost 13-5 to Non Varsity Opponent on Friday.

Willem Hakala made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Stanislaw, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Homer now has a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Homer will challenge Petersburg at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Non Varsity Opponent has already played their next contest (against XDOT Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
