Softball Game Preview: Corona Panthers vs. Arroyo Valley Hawks

The Corona Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Arroyo Valley Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Corona's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Arroyo Valley's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

It was a proper cat-fight when Corona took on Redlands East Valley last Tuesday. Corona sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over Redlands East Valley. While the Panthers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, Arroyo Valley lost 16-6 to Serrano on Friday. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Diamondbacks recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Arroyo Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Corona, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.
