Basketball Recap: Tri-Central Comes Up Short

Tri-Central was the 65-60 winner over Wes-Del when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tri-Central Trojans fell 58-50 to the Wes-Del Warriors on Saturday. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wes-Del got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Julian Carpenter out in front who posted 19 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Becerra, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points.

Tri-Central's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Wes-Del, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Tri-Central will challenge Anderson Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wes-Del, they will face off against Yorktown at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Wes-Del is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.1 points per game this season.
