Baseball Recap: Wake Forest Find Success

Wake Forest won the last time they faced Leesville Road and things went their way on Friday too. The Wake Forest Cougars walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Leesville Road Pride. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

The team relied heavily on Kellen Rogers, who went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and one double. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Ethan Brittain, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Wake Forest's record now sits at 2-0. As for Leesville Road, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 1-1-1.

Looking ahead, Wake Forest will venture away from home to square off against J.H. Rose at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Leesville Road, they will welcome Heritage at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
