Football Recap: Platte Valley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Platte Valley lost against Strasburg back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Broncos took a blow against the Indians, falling 34-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Broncos have suffered since August 24, 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Strasburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jorge Parra, who rushed for 63 yards and one score, and also picked up 33 receiving yards. Parra was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards. Cade Hemphill was another key back, gaining 65 total yards and two touchdowns.

Platte Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Platte Valley will face off against Buena Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Strasburg, they will square off against Montezuma-Cortez at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
