Basketball Recap: Dalton Joramo's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Warwick over Park River/Fordville-Lankin

Warwick fought the good fight in their overtime game against Park River/Fordville-Lankin on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Park River/Fordville-Lankin Aggies by a score of 64-62. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (57), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dalton Joramo, who went 12-for-23 en route to 27 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Those 27 points gave Joramo a new career-high. Elijah Feather Jr was another key player, dropping a double-double with 25 points and ten boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Warwick and nudges their season record down to 8-8. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.5 points. As for Park River/Fordville-Lankin, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Looking ahead, Warwick will take on New Rockford-Sheyenne at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Park River/Fordville-Lankin, they will square off against Drayton/Valley-Edinburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
