While Rush-Henrietta's win against Spencerport wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Royal Comets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Rangers on Friday. The Royal Comets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rangers, too.

Derek Vanauker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mason Davey, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Matthew Turner was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Rush-Henrietta lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since the start of last season.

Rush-Henrietta now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Spencerport, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Rush-Henrietta will head out to face off against Webster Schroeder at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Spencerport, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Gates Chili at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
