Softball Recap: Union Mine Diamondbacks vs. Liberty Ranch Hawks        
        
		
            
 There's no place like home for Union Mine, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Friday. Everything went their way against the Liberty Ranch Hawks on Monday as the Union Mine Diamondbacks made off with  a  9-2 victory. This was a revenge  matchup for Union Mine, as the team was forced to settle for  an  8-1 defeat when these two played  two weeks ago.
  Madison Matlack spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two  runs (both of which were unearned)  on six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than six  innings in five consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Savannah Warman was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs, three  runs,  and three  RBI while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jennifer Wylie, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.
 On Liberty Ranch's side,  Gracyn Graviette was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-4 with two  doubles and  an  RBI.
 Union Mine's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Liberty Ranch, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.
 Union Mine will head out on the road to  challenge  Wheatland at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Wheatland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3  runs per game  this season. As for Liberty Ranch, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oakmont at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Oakmont knows how to get  runs on the board -- the  squad has finished with flashy  run totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Liberty Ranch likes a good challenge.
