Softball Recap: Union Mine Diamondbacks vs. Liberty Ranch Hawks

Everything went their way against the Liberty Ranch Hawks on Monday as the Union Mine Diamondbacks made off with a 9-2 victory. This was a revenge matchup for Union Mine, as the team was forced to settle for an 8-1 defeat when these two played two weeks ago.

Madison Matlack spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than six innings in five consecutive pitching appearances.
