Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Santa Gertrudis Academy). They blew past the Hebbronville Longhorns 73-48 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Despite the loss, Hebbronville still got an impressive performance from Oscar Carrillo, who posted 20 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Alexavier Gutierrez, who had five points and ten boards.

Santa Gertrudis Academy's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-19. As for Hebbronville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-18 record this season.
