Preview: Clear Lake vs. Brazoswood
The Clear Lake Falcons will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against the Brazoswood Buccaneers at 7:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Clear Lake can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Saturday. They never let Clear Falls onto the board and left with a 4-0 win. Clear Lake's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five games.
They hit Clear Falls with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Anthony Abusada,
Walter Kilgore,
Cole Gibson, and
Noah Farrag.
Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Brazoswood brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over Clear Falls. That five goal margin sets a new team best for Brazoswood this season.
Clear Lake pushed their record up to 11-1-1 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those six games. As for Brazoswood, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5-2.
Everything went Clear Lake's way against Brazoswood when the teams last played back in March of 2023 as Clear Lake made off with a 3-0 win. Does Clear Lake have another victory up their sleeve, or will Brazoswood turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
