Softball Recap: Cherokee Trail Cougars vs. Grandview Wolves

On Wednesday, Cherokee Trail faced Grandview in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Cherokee Trail Cougars came out on top against the Grandview Wolves by a score of 6-3. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Sydney Cobb and Emma Rice made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Cobb struck out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Rice pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. At the plate, Cobb went 2-for-4 with a home run, five RBI, and two runs, while Rice went 2-for-4 with a stolen base, a double, and an RBI.
