Woodlawn-B.R. is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Southern Lab 13-2 on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Klayton Tate made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Tate was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 1-for-5. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Braydin Lemoine looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

Back at the plate, Kaleb Byrd was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, four RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Noah Arroyo was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Woodlawn-B.R. kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southern Lab only managed five hits.
Meanwhile, Central fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Northshore on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 5-4. The Wildcats' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Woodlawn-B.R.'s victory bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-6.
