Mendon had won eight straight games and Owen Gorham did his part to make it nine on Friday. The Hornets really took it to the Lenawee Christian Cougars for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-43 victory with plenty of help from Gorham, who rushed for 301 yards and four TDs while picking up 11.1 yards per carry. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up 0.5 sacks, forcing one fumble, and making seven total tackles.

Another player making a difference was Ryder Gorham, who rushed for 88 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six carries. He didn't just play on offense: he also made five total tackles and defended two passes in addition to snagging an interception.

Mendon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brayden Crites and Gorham. Crites got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Mendon's record is now 9-0. As for Lenawee Christian, they moved to 5-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Mendon nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
