Recap: Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions vs. Boulder Creek Jaguars
The Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They took down Boulder Creek 53-38. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mountain Ridge also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Gloria Hines was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Maddie Green was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight steals.
Mountain Ridge's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-14. As for Boulder Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain Ridge won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Liberty is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Boulder Creek, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against O'Connor at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. O'Connor presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Boulder Creek in Arizona (O'Connor is ranked 27th, while Boulder Creek is ranked 231st).
