Basketball Recap: Etowah Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Etowah came into this matchup off a tough 30-point defeat on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Westbrook Christian Warriors by a score of 52-49 on Friday. The Blue Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Etowah saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jeremy Cole posted four points in addition to nine rebounds and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for Cole. Baylor Morrison was another key player, putting up six points.

Etowah is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3. As for Westbrook Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Etowah wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 58-45 win against Cornerstone on the 22nd. As for Westbrook Christian, they will be playing at home against Douglas at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
