Basketball Recap: Monroe County Takes a Loss

Monroe County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 75-50 to the Georgiana Panthers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 75-66 last Monday.

Monroe County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Georgiana, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Monroe County will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against W.S. Neal at 7:00 p.m. As for Georgiana, they and Hillcrest will face off at 6:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
