Softball Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short

Springfield lost to Bellows Falls back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cosmos came up short against the Terriers, falling 16-6. The Cosmos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Bellows Falls, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Looking ahead, Springfield will head out to face off against Otter Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cosmos' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Otters have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season. As for Bellows Falls, they will be playing at home against Burr & Burton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
