It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Amite School Center had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Clinton Christian Academy Warriors. Winning may never get old, but the Rebels sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Gage Beard was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Beard was even better at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dreher Van Norman, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Hall, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
