Volleyball Recap: Johnson-Brock Starts off Right with Win over Falls City

Johnson-Brock had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Falls City Tigers by a score of 2-0. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

While Johnson-Brock won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 26-24.

Their offense was headlined by Daley Pelican and Charlotte Metschke, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Kinley Vice and her 12 assists. Kasie Knippelmeyer controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Falls City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Johnson-Brock wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Southern on the 28th. As for Falls City, they will welcome Jefferson County North at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
