Volleyball Recap: Santa Fe Victorious

Santa Fe won the last time they faced Branford and things went their way on Monday too. The Raiders walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Buccaneers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

Santa Fe walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-15, 21-25, 25-16.

Ella Schneider was nothing short of spectacular: she had eight kills, seven digs, and one block.

Despite the loss, Branford saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ava Alcorn had 21 digs and two assists. Those 21 digs set a new season-high mark for Alcorn.

Santa Fe's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Branford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Santa Fe will venture away from home to face off against Buchholz at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Branford, they will head out to challenge Bell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Buccaneers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
