Soccer Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Hawthorne. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-2 on Friday. Centennial were not able to make up for their defeat to Hawthorne from their previous meeting back in February of 2025.

Centennial has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8-2 record this season. As for Hawthorne, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-12-2.

Centennial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hawthorne, they will be playing at home against Lawndale at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
