Basketball Recap: Highland Park Comes Up Short

Highland Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 61-24 loss at the hands of the Quanah Indians. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1277th, while the Indians are ranked 426th).

Highland Park's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Quanah, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

Highland Park will head out on the road to face off against Wellington at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Quanah, they will be home for the holidays to greet Memphis at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Quanah has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
